The municipalities in the 42nd Legislative District (Baldwin Township, Castle Shannon, Dormont, Mt. Lebanon, and a portion of Upper St. Clair) will go to the polls on February 24 to fill the vacancy left with the resignation of Dan Miller.
Every four years, Democrats in Dormont have the opportunity to elect committee members to lead the committee and represent their interests. There are 20 seats - two (2) for each district, one male and one female - up on the May primary.
Petitions are being circulated now. Interested in learning more about how you can become a committee member? Reach out to a current member, drop us an email, or click the link below to get information directly from the Allegheny County Democratic Committee.

The Allegheny County Democratic Committee endorsement vote for candidates running in the 2026 primary is being held on Sunday, March 8 from 10 AM to 3 PM at the IBEW Local 5, 5 Hot Metal Street, South Side. Only current committee members may vote in the endorsement, and must vote in person. Check back for the results of the endorsement vote!
Join the committee for their monthly meetings. All Democrats are welcome. Email the committee for more information!

Mark your calendars now for our annual ice cream social - our 6th - and join us on Sunday, August 2 at the Dormont Recreation Center for cool treats and an opportunity to meet and talk with candidates and your committee members.
